When Harry met Sally Blissdom

In less than a month I'll be returning to Nashville for Blissdom '10, a blogging conference touted as "the premier conference for women" and all I can say about that is a) it is wonderful to meet in person those women with whom I already enjoy online conversation (& those I lurk!), b) the sessions are content rich, led by professionals and/or blog savvy speakers who are experienced in their craft, and c) it's one heckuva girls' weekend away.

Lead sponsor for this year's conference indicates its substance--ConAgra Foods (which includes brands like Hebrew National, Hunts, Orville Redenbacher and Healthy Choice). I wonder if we'll be eating hot dogs, tomato sauce, popcorn and diet meals....

But the BIG NEWS?!  This year to complement the wonderful line-up of speakers, we're gonna be treated to a mini concert with Harryfreakin' Connick, Jr.!!!  Ah...yes...the Vice Chairman of the Board is comin' to Opryland.  Somethin' smiley about that :) ...  VERY smiley :D.  I like Harry...for his mad, velvety swinging-awesome vocals (yes), even for his dramatic interpretations, but mostly because I think he's a nice guy--married for over 15 years, j'adore his daughter's Southern names (Georgia, Sarah Kate and Charlotte), AND...he cares about people, not just with words but with deeds.

Plus, as one of my contemporaries, how much do I love this quote of his?!? ~~

"I had an old man moment the other day. I went into Abercrombie & Fitch to get some jeans and the music was so loud I couldn't stay."

Yeah...a lot.
